A new team: Team Lauren

In early 2021, Abigail created a second team under "Abigail Joy HMUA" with long-time cosmetology school friend, Lauren!

In 2020, Lauren shared with Abigail her passion for the bridal industry and desire to play a bigger role in working with brides. Abigail had a desire to serve more brides in the STL area + beyond and knew creating another team was the perfect solution and voila - Team Lauren was born. In 2021, Team Lauren worked with five brides for their weddings and by the end of 2023, Lauren will have worked with seventy-one brides - so far!

About Lauren

Lauren has been in the beauty industry for 10 years and her favorite services to perform are bridal hair and makeup. She also loves working with hair color, specifically on blondes and giving her clients that “lived-in” color look. Lauren has three little girls, Ella, Skyler, and Hadley. When they aren’t outside exploring or having game nights, Lauren and her girls like to give each other makeovers, play hockey, and have dance parties!

The Vision

With onsite hair and makeup services becoming more popular, the vision with Team Lauren is to serve and reach more brides and other guests than previously possible with only one team. Lauren has a very similar style to Abigail’s and does the more "natural glam" look. Lauren and Abigail continuously train together so the hair and makeup she provides will be in line with what Abigail offers as well (while of course letting her shine with her own personal style & skills!) We want to ensure that any bride who books with “Abigail Joy HMUA” is getting a similar experience whether working with Abigail or Lauren!

Who makes up Team Lauren?

With this second team operating within "Abigail Joy HMUA", the same team members who work alongside Abigail also work alongside Lauren. With the addition of this new team, Abigail has added a few new team members so Team Lauren can accommodate larger wedding parties! All team members are approved by Abigail to ensure all bridal parties are getting the best when it comes to quality makeup applications and hairstyling.

Q: How is it decided which brides work with Abigail or Team Lauren?

Inquiries for dates Abigail has available will first be booked with Abigail. Inquiries for dates where Abigail is already booked, Team Lauren will be offered.

Q: When I inquire, who will I be communicating with?

Abigail will be your first point of contact whether booking with her or Team Lauren. Lauren will begin communicating with brides upon officially booking with Team Lauren.

Q: Is this new team separate from Abigail Joy with different rates?

Team Lauren operates within and apart of “Abigail Joy HMUA” which means all rates and packages offered are the same for both teams.

Q: Do any other team members perform services for the bride on wedding days?

Lauren and Abigail are the team leads and will always take care of the bride’s trials and their day-of services - no surprises here!
